Duchess' Visit to SOTE
Duchess meets SOTE and the Marathon Runners
HRH the Duchess of Cornwall, the wife of Prince Charles, visited the SOTE II clinic on the occasion of its 125th anniversary. In addition she met the Founder and senior members of the RBIF and the two marathon runners Harry Harron and Simon Saunders who leave on the 1st April this year to take part in the Sahara Marathon.
The Duchess, in a very nice informal walk about, spoke to a number of staff members and patients of the SOTE II clinic having her photograph taken with several of the youngsters there to their great delight.
Marathon runners Harry and Simon pictured left are photographed in front of the 125th anniversary plaque created by Mr Ferenc Bodi and purchased by the RBIF.

Vodafone made an award to the RBIF for their CSR efforts this year. Patrick McMenamin from the Caledonia Bar, Chairman of the Marathon Appeal, received the trophy on behalf of the Foundation. Click for pictures of the visit:
