Accounts and Financial Information on money raised by the RBIF
Accounts

Accounts for 2007 and 2008 have been completed with the assistance of Marta Velencei at PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC) and will undergo an informal audit from David Thompson of KPMG. When complete they will be published here on the website.

The RBIF's accounts for 2005 will be scanned and published by the end of June. Those for 2007 will be published here shortly after. They are at present being processed.

GENERAL FINANCIAL STATEMENT

Sources of Income
The RBIF receives money from:
1. The Burns Supper - in excess of 20 million HUF per annum. Of this sum around 4 to 5 million is taken for direct expenses (hotel and catering, lighting and sound). All participants either donate to the RBIF or are sponsored. Special guests are sponsored by the evening (though most contribute).
2. The Waiter's Race - around 50,000 HUF per annum.
3. Corporate sponsors - donate large sums for projects
- Tesco - a regular 2 million HUF annually to projects (facilitated by RBIF)
- Immochan - a regular 1 million HUF annually for either projects or administration (any balance goes into projects)
- Develor - a regular .5 million HUF annually to the Bakonyszucs cancer rehabilitation centre
- British Telecom BT - 2.9 million HUF for the Autism project
- Pfizer, Parisbas - 1.5 million HUF each for the reconstruction of the Leukaemia wards at SOTE II
- Linklaters - 1.6 million HUF for instrumentation for the new Leukaemia ward at SOTE II
- US Foundation (Gordon MacLean) - a regular 1.5 million HUF as a facilitation for the hospital in Mateszalka
4. Other smaller events - income less than 50,000 HUF annually

Expenditure and Donations
The RBIF donates to hospitals throughout Hungary as advised by their medical adviser, Prof. dr. Gyorgy Fekete as follows:
1. Donations to hospitals for equipment (evidence is required of purchase, VAT is not paid) of 1 million HUF each to from 6 to 9 hospitals annually.
2. Donation to SOTE II clinic, Tuzolto u. for equipment - around 4 million annually (the clinic serves the whole population of Hungary)
3. Office expenses - annually around 350,000 HUF.
4. Other smaller donations, payments amounting to less than 100,000 HUF annually for smaller projects or expenses
5. One off donations e.g. 250,000 (1,000 Euro) for Romanian musician from whom royalties may eventually be received.

Staff Costs
The RBIF does not have staff costs as staff are separately sponsored or are volunteers.
